8/26/09

so, crazy stuff today. after school had to run a ton of errands to catch up with some work-related things, so i didn't have much time to do any painting + modeling.

nevertheless i did high light my rat ogre WIP, and did the metal on a few of the 5 slaves i'm painitng, so not all in all a bad day.

cyall tommorow.

going ratty 8/23/08 and 8/24/08

well all, i'm happy. weve seen some new skaven stuff (clanrat models and cover art) and i've decided to pump my first army love for the new release. so i have cut up some new movement trays (that i will be gluing over the next few days) and painting my backlog.

in the meantime, all other projects have been pushed aside.

yesterday i painted the white and did some basecoats for bronze on my sm captain.

tonight has been a frenzy, cutting and gluing my backlog of skaven minis while priming some slaves, a rat ogre, a packmaster, and a storm vermin musician.

be ready for the sea of fur that shalt cover the sands soon.

finnaly some progress on the painting table dilemna!

i've been wanting to finish all the mini's on my painting table and start a new batch for awhile now. tonight i lined em all up so now i can steam through them tommorow in between bouts of wood cutting (i make my own movement trays!)

i finished (minus basing) a giant rat pack, and the red portion of my sm captains armor tonight! yay!

oh my... 9/21/09

i know i know, i'm falling behind, but i'm so busy now with school. i promise to update the best that i can.

today i worked some more on the giant rats, and i figured out a list of whats on my painting table to help me paint it and get it out of the way for newer projects.

i did however start basecoating my primed and converted captain, and i half painted 2 giant rats and started the cloth on thier packmaster.

if i don't go to game on saturday, i'm making it a big painitng day!

8/18/09 swat moment

i know SWAT themes are more the province of the adeptus arbites in 40k, but i had a daydream in school today about a tac squad led by a commander ripping up baddies through the streets of a hive.

appropriatly enough, all i got done today, because of a busy schedule, was that i converted my SM captain from AoBR.

and so the sands twirl, 8/14/09

well my friends, welcome to my hobby blog. while my other blog is for general blogging, this will contain my daily progress on my hobby, modeling and painting metal and plastic (or resin) miniatures for fun, and possibly gaming with them. note that this log is subject to picture adding when i deem i have time (busy schedule atm)

why, you might ask, do i start this blog on the 14th of august? well, mostly because its the end of the first week of the 2009-2010 school year, so i thought i'd kick things off with a bang.

well, for todays progress. i revcieved a trade package containing 11 skeleton shields (v 3.0 skellies) yesterday, and today i went about planning how i would put them on my lone (as of now) spear skellie regiment.

secondly, i finished the bronze test on my test skeleton for my 1rst regiment of sword skellies for my barrow kings contingent. i belive this turned out too bright (its dwarf bronze over a schorched brown basecoat) so to remedy this i am planning on using the delvan mud wash to suitably darken it up abit.

and thats it for tonight, till tommorow, the sands wisp lazily on!
